Colonial Annapolis with Afternoon Tea

September 23, 2008 - 7:00AM-7:00 PM

$95.00 per person

Arrive at Annapolis City Dock for a sightseeing cruise aboard “The Harbor Queen” around Annapolis Harbor & the banks of the US Naval Academy.  Afterwards, wander the brick lined streets of Annapolis for lunch and shopping.  Tour the famous William Paca House, home of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and explore the 18th Century gardens.  Then take a Trolley tour of historic Annapolis and then have an authentic English Afternoon Tea at Reynolds Tavern.

 Octoberfest in Cape May and Baltic Winery

October 4, 2008 - 9:00 AM-8:00 PM

Enjoy a scenic trolley tour through the historic and charming town.  Spend the afternoon feasting on many of the foods and brewery offerings at the Octoberfest or browse the famous shops.  Later, have dinner at the East Bay Crab & Grille Restaurant in Egg Harbor.  End the day with a wine tasting at Baltic Winery.

 Opera Gala Concert and Dinner at Tomasello Winery

Enjoy the Opera Gala Concert in the Vintner’s room at the Winery.  Singers from the Philadelphia Academy of Vocal Arts perform a passionate Italian Opera.

Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village & Sunday Brunch

November 2, 2008—8:30 AM-6:00 PM

Travel to New Hope, PA for this once a year event.  The Apple Festival features crafts, people, live entertainment and pie eating contest.  Enjoy a variety of apple treats including apple butter, cider, dumplings, fritters dipped in caramel. 
Also enjoy lunch at the Cock & Bull Restaurant and a stop at the New Hope Winery.

Longwood Gardens in Brandywine, PA

If you love flowers and gardens, this is a “must see” place to visit.  Arrive at Winterthur, take the Tram Ride around the gardens to see Winterthur aglow with more than 40,000 holiday lights, before a guided tour of the DuPont home and Campbell Soup Exhibition Area with two floors of antiques.  Afterwards enjoy a Champagne Sunday Brunch at the Mendenhall Inn.  Later, visit Longwood Gardens for their festive holiday display.  Contact Stacy Roche at 609-332-3126.

This is our annual Valentine outreach program to a local nursing home that our parish serves.  We prepare and distribute gift bags to the residents.
